Apprentis d’Auteuil’s world education program available now for more than 50,000 young people – a youth development charity’s work.

Apprentis d’Auteuil has been working as a youth development charity on an international level since the 1980s. We have partnered up with associations from all over the world to do what we do best: help young people overcome difficulties and obtain an education. Believing that learning will help them to reintegrate society, we have set up a world education program which benefits children in countries of Africa, Asia, South America and Europe. Committed to helping parents too, Apprentis d’Auteuil provides broad support and advocacy services as well as training and insertion. Let us tell you more about our ongoing projects that we have created with our experience of 150 of being a successful education charity in France.

Youth development charity – our programs

The number of young people without a job, education or training (referred to as NEET) is alarmingly high even in countries of Europe. On a planetary scale, 69 million children who should be attending school fit into this category. The world education program of Apprentis d’Auteuil aims to change that, because these young people are not inept, they are just experiencing problems that they cannot solve on their own. As a youth development charity, our job is to help them in these delicate situations with various measures: training, employment counseling, social entrepreneurship… but also with psycho-social support, autonomy building, and strengthening their interpersonal skills. Apprentis d’Auteuil is an education charity, which means training and insertion are at the core of our activity – but we also put emphasis on reintegrating young people into society.

Education charity in Africa

Let us demonstrate to you our world education program on two examples in Africa. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, Apprentis d’Auteuil has set up training centres with the REEJER association to help 3000 young people enroll in vocational trainings each year. Our education charity is also present in Morocco in a multi-job centre where youth can learn a trade in the beauty industry or catering to enable them to support themselves. Present in about 50 countries worldwide as youth development charity, Apprentis d’Auteuil’s goal is to show support to families and youth in precarious situations. By providing them with an education, social and psychological support, our aim is to increase their ability to take their own life into their hands.
